Documentation for Committee.

On the question of the Library, on the last occasion requests were made by various Members of the committee for copies of the Official Journal and for back-up in the sense of expert information. At that time there was rather an optimistic——

I have some good news. I have succeeded in obtaining sanction—I may say without any difficulty—for a copy of the Official Journal for every Member of the committee. It comes in two series, L and C, and both will be circulated to Members. It is a very fundamental, important and basic document which will be of great help to us. Because of the cost involved we are trimming our sails a little bit in relation to Agence Europe. We asked for two copies which are now available to us. Perhaps I will take one and the Secretary to the Committee will have one available for Members. We have also asked the Library separately to procure two copies which will be available in the Library.

Do members of the European Parliament not get the Official Journal from the Parliament automatically?

Yes. We have allowed for that and are getting copies for the 16 other members.

There is also a twice weekly report?

Yes. The committee will get two copies of that European Report.
