Membership of Sub-Committees.

A further point I should like to mention is that we have now completed the structuring of the various sub-committees. Perhaps I might read them out for you so that they may be available on the record. On what was originally called Sub-Committee A and renamed the Oireachtas Sub-Committee there are the following members: Deputies Collins, Desmond, Dockrell, Esmonde, Fahey, G. Fitzgerald, Flanagan, Haughey; Senators FitzGerald and Robinson.
The membership of Sub-Committee B, which is now called the Agricultural Sub-Committee, is as follows: Deputies Collins, Creed, Dunne, Esmonde, Fahey, Flanagan, Gibbons, Haughey, Kavanagh, McDonald, Nolan and Staunton; Senators O'Callaghan and Ryan.
Sub-Committee C, which is now renamed the Economic and Social Sub-Committee consists of: Deputies Desmond, Dockrell, Gene Fitzgerald, Gibbons, Haughey, Herbert, Kavanagh, O'Kennedy, Staunton and Thornley; Senators Boland, Alexis FitzGerald, Higgins, Lenihan, Ryan and Yeats.
The membership of the General Policy Sub-Committee, Sub-Committee D as it was—and incidentially I think it is to this Sub-Committee that we should refer the regional policy regulations—is as follows: Deputies Creed, Desmond, Dunne, Esmonde, Flanagan, Haughey, Herbert, McDonald, Nolan, O'Kennedy, Staunton and Thornley; Senators Boland, Higgins, Lenihan, O'Callaghan, Robinson and Yeats.
In that structure I think we have succeeded in meeting all the various requirements. We have made a few minor changes to suit particular individuals who wish to be members of particular sub-committees. We have a good balance now on each sub-committee, having regard in particular to having the European Parliamentary delegates members of the sub-committees which are most relevant to the work they are doing in the European Parliament.
