Expression of Sympathy.

It is my sad duty to move a vote of sympathy with Senator Alexis FitzGerald on the death of his brother, Professor Paddy FitzGerald. In proposing this vote of sympathy with Senator FitzGerald and the widow and family of the late Paddy FitzGerald, I do not have to say anything about his career because the record of his work for the medical profession and the suffering people of the country speaks for itself.

Before we commence we should decide how long we are going to sit. I was going to suggest that because a number of Members have to leave early we should work until about 5.30 p.m. and adjourn the meeting until this time next week. I take it that this is agreed.
