I should like to give notice that I will move, at the next meeting of the Seanad, that a Committee be appointed to go into the question of the appointment of officers, such as clerks and others, who would be attached to this Seanad. The Committee can also consider the salaries to be paid to those officers. In regard to the question of salaries, we all know that it is in the power of the Dáil, and the Committee will have to have consultation with a Committee or some representatives of Dáil Eireann before the matter is finally settled. It is desirable to have a Committee appointed, and I accordingly give the required notice.
