Vol. 1 No. 27

BUSINESS FOR NEXT WEEK.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

With regard to the business for next week I understand that one Bill, the Increase of Rents Bill, has to come into operation by the 24th, and therefore, it is essential that we should meet next week. Consequently, if we meet next week I propose that we should adjourn the further and concluding stages of the Finance Bill until Wednesday next. On Wednesday we can finish the remaining stages of the Finance Bill, discuss the Second Reading of the Increase of Rents Bill, and we may possibly also have the National Health Insurance Bill.

I move that the Seanad do now adjourn until 3 o'clock on Wednesday next.

Have you any indication as to whether the National Health Insurance Bill will be certified as a Money Bill? It looks very like the Unemployment Insurance Bill.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

It may be, but never bid the devil good morrow until you meet him.

It may be too late then.

The Seanad adjourned until Wednesday, June 20th, at 3 p.m.
