Vol. 1 No. 30

RECORD OF ATTENDANCE.

AN LEAS-CHATHAOIRLEACH

The Cathaoirleach is still detained in London, and has asked me to take his place. I want to draw the attention of Senators to the book which has now been prepared containing a list of Senators in which Senators can sign their names, so that there will be no possibility of errors in the record of attendances. It is to facilitate the staff and the Clerk in keeping a record of attendance that we ask the Senators to sign their names in the book.

Will there be any record kept of attendances since the initiation of the Seanad? It is quite possible that some Senators who have been very good attendants for six or eight months might, for one cause or another, be very bad for a month and the average would tell against them.

AN LEAS-CHATHAOIRLEACH

A record has been kept up to the present, and this is for the purpose of ensuring that in future the record shall be accurate, as far as possible, in order to avoid any possible dispute.
