Vol. 1 No. 36

LAND BILL. - SEANAD IN COMMITTEE.

Apparently our friends in the Dáil were so anxious to beat us in the speed with which they could pass through even Bills of this kind that they failed to notice one or two more or less clerical errors in the Bill, and I have been asked to move some recommendations to put the matter in order. On page 5, Schedule B: "Appropriation of Grants," in the third column there is a figure £41,300 under "Appropriations in Aid," which should not be there. I beg to move to delete this figure.

Recommendation put and agreed to.
There is a further recommendation on page 6, where the same figure has also succeeded in intruding in two places; the third column, page 6, opposite No. 32, and also in the total. I propose a recommendation that these figures be also deleted.
Recommendation put and agreed to.

Further, on page 9, item No. 29, the verbal description reads in the Bill, "and for expenses of pension." That is a clerical error, and it should read, "for the expenses of revision." I propose, as a recommendation, that the word "pension" be deleted, and the word "revision" be inserted.

Recommendation put and agreed to.
Bill ordered to be reported.
