Vol. 1 No. 40

BUSINESS OF THE SEANAD.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

With regard to the hour of meeting to-morrow, inasmuch as there is only this one Bill for consideration it might be in the interests of and a convenience to the Seanad that we should meet at an earlier hour. The difficulty about that is that I have not yet ascertained if it is certain that this Bill will pass through the Dáil this evening. If it does not, and they have to sit again to-morrow, an early hour for the Seanad would not apply. On the other hand, if it is certain that they are going to get through with it to-day, I think I am voicing the wish of the majority of the Seanad when I say that they would like to meet early to dispose of it, as it would enable those who live in the country to get home.

Will the Seanad be present at the Dissolution?

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

No.

We do not get a Speech from the Throne?

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

If you want a luxury of that kind perhaps you can attend, but I do not think the Constitution provides for it.
