The Joint Committee on Standing Orders relative to Private Business, report that they have nominated the following Senators to serve on the Joint Committee, to which the Dublin Electricity Supply Bill, 1924, and the East Leinster Electricity Supply Bill, 1924, has been referred:—Senators Barrington, Irwin, and Sir Nugent Everard.

I have to announce that in agreement with the Speaker of the Dáil I have nominated Senator Brown as the Chairman of this Joint Committee, whose duties it will be to consider these two Bills. I have also to report that I have received the following from this Joint Committee:—
The Joint Committee report in pursuance of Standing Order 69 (Private Business) that they have adjourned the consideration of the Dublin Electricity Supply Bill, 1924, and the East Leinster Electricity Supply Bill, 1924, at the request of the respective promoters of the above Bills, to a date in October next, to be fixed by the Chairman of the Joint Committee.
The Joint Committee, in acceding to the request of the promoters, were influenced by the fact that no Statute has been passed by the Oireachtas enabling Committees of either House to administer Oaths to the witnesses examined before such Committees.
It is signed by Senator Brown.
