Vol. 4 No. 19

DAIL SUPREME COURT (PENSIONS) BILL, 1925.—SECOND STAGE.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

This Bill has been certified by the Ceann Comhairle as a Money Bill.

Motion made and question put—"That the Bill be read a second time."

Agreed.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

Does any Senator move the suspension of Standing Orders to deal with the other stages of this Bill? If this Bill is not discussed within twenty days from the date it passes the other House, it becomes law automatically. That may not be a great catastrophe; I am only calling the attention of the House to the fact.

Have we not passed the Second Reading and cannot we then postpone the further consideration for some time?

It becomes law in 21 days.

The Local Government Bill was longer here than that.

This is a Money Bill.
