Vol. 4 No. 19

ADJOURNMENT FOR EASTER.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

I understand the Dáil adjourned, at its last sitting on Friday, until the 22nd, when, I believe, it is anticipated that the Budget proposals will be submitted. That being so, the business that is at present available for us consists of the Treasonable and Seditious Offences Bill, and the Shannon scheme motion which the Minister for Industry and Commerce was speaking about, and which will be available when we next meet. It seems to me it will not be necessary to ask the House to meet again until the 29th April, that is, the week after the Dáil assembles.

On the 29th we will take the Second Reading of the Treasonable and Seditious Offences Bill. Then there is a motion standing in the name of Senator Bennett which will appear in the Agenda for that day. I would like the House, if they find it at all convenient, to study the Treasonable and Seditious Offences Bill during the Easter vacation, so that they may have their amendments in and so enable us to take up the Committee Stage of that Bill on Thursday, 30th.

The 29th happens to be Punchestown.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

Well, Senator, duty first. The House now stands adjourned until April 29th.

The Seanad adjourned at 4.15 p.m.
