I received a communication from Senator Dowdall to say that he is laid up with the prevalent epidemic of influenza and he asks the indulgence of the House so that his Motion may be postponed for the present until he is able to attend. I take it that will be agreed to later on. I mention it now for the information of Senators who might have intended to take part in the discussion.
