Vol. 14 No. 7

Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Bill, 1930—Final Stages.

Question proposed: That this Bill be considered on Report.

I would like to know whether there is any urgency about putting this Bill through its Report Stage to-day?

Cathaoirleach

I think there is. My recollection is that the Minister for Agriculture was very anxious that the Bill should be passed through its final stages to-day.

Surely it is very urgent that this important industry, dealing with the egg production of the country, should be put on a proper basis.

If I could be satisfied on that point I would have no objection to allowing the Bill to go through. If the Report Stage of the Bill were postponed until the House meets again, there are some amendments that I would like to move to it.

Cathaoirleach

I think it is desirable that the Bill should go through its final stages to-day.
