Vol. 14 No. 11

Public Business. - Legitimacy Bill, 1929—Referred to Special Committee.

I move that the Bill be referred to a Special Committee consisting of nine Senators, the quorum to be five.

I beg to second that motion.

Question agreed to.

Cathaoirleach

The names of the members of the Committee will be left to the Committee of Selection, and the Special Committee will, of course, select its own chairman. With reference to Senator Keane's motion, I acquainted Senator Keane of the fact that the Minister for Local Government and Public Health was unwell and he could not be here to-day, nor would he be here to-morrow. I told the Senator that it might be better to allow the motion to stand over. Senator Keane agreed with that course, and accordingly it will appear on the Order Paper for the next meeting of the Seanad.

The Seanad adjourned at 5.45 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 25th March.
