This is a small Bill which enables the Board of Works to exercise the powers which they have been exercising since 1923 to acquire compulsorily premises for the housing of the Civic Guards. These powers are not very extensively required, but until the problem of housing the Guards has been completely solved the Board of Works is of the opinion that it is necessary for it to have these powers.
