I have received the following communication:—
"I am directed by the Minister for External Affairs to state that he has been requested by the American Chargé d'Affaires to convey to the Cathaoirleach and the members of Seanad Eireann an expression of the deep appreciation of the President and Government of the United States of the courteous resolution of sympathy which was passed by Seanad Eireann on the 11th April, 1934, following the death of the American Minister.
