Vol. 18 No. 25

Fisheries (Tidal Waters) Bill, 1934—Committee.

Section 1 agreed to.

With regard to the amendments to this Bill which appear on the Order Paper in my name, they were put down at the request of some people in the hope that there would be nothing in the Bill that would interfere with the stock of fish going up the river. Those interested very wisely took the opportunity of having an interview with the Minister. He received them very kindly and satisfied them completely as to what they wanted. With the leave of the House I would like to withdraw the four amendments on the Order Paper in my name.

Leave granted.
Bill passed through Committee without amendment.
Bill reported without amendment.
Report Stage ordered for Wednesday, 20th June.
