Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 12 May 1938

Vol. 21 No. 3

Prices Commission (Extension of Functions) Bill, 1938. - The Adjournment.

When do we expect further business from the Government?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I expect there will not be any business before the 1st June. There is a motion on the Order Paper in the names of Senators Baxter and O'Dwyer, but it and the setting up of two committees are the only items to be dealt with.

In the circumstances, I feel it would be unfair to ask the Seanad to come together, if there is no Government business to be dealt with, so that we might agree to allow the motion to stand over until the next day on which Government business would necessitate the Seanad sitting.

The Seanad adjourned at 5.20 p.m. until Wednesday, 1st June.
