SECTION 20.
Wherever the Minister proposes to make a mining business acquisition order he shall
(b) publish in theIris Oifigiúil and in such newspapers as the Minister thinks fit notice of the proposal, indicating with reasonable particularity the situation, nature and extent of the minerals, buildings and plant which are the subject matter of the said business, and containing such other information as the Minister considers expedient, and

I move amendment No. 1:—

In sub-section (1), paragraph (b), page 8, line 14, to insert, immediately before the word "notice", the words, "including newspapers circulating in the locality."

This amendment is introduced to meet a point raised in the Dáil that the Minister should be obliged to insert these advertisements in some of the newspapers circulating in the locality.

SECTION 24.
(4) For the purposes of this section, the date of the acquisition shall, where the relevant mining business acquisition order is made within four months after the date of the passing of this Act, be taken to be the 1st day of March, 1941, and shall, in every other case, be taken to be the date on which notice of the proposal to acquire the relevant existing mining business was published inIris Oifigiúil in pursuance of this Act.

I move amendment No. 2:—

In sub-section (4), page 10, line 53, to delete the word "the" where it occurs immediately before the word "acquisition".

This is merely a drafting amendment.
