I am to inform the House that a communication has been received from the Secretary to the Department of the Taoiseach that in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1946, the Taoiseach had on 7th March, 1951:—
(i) terminated the assignment of the Department of Justice to General Seán MacEoin, terminated the assignment of the Department of Defence to Doctor Thomas Francis O'Higgins and terminated the assignment of the Department of Industry and Commerce to Daniel Morrissey, and
(ii) assigned the Department of Defence to General Seán MacEoin, assigned the Department of Industry and Commerce to Doctor Thomas Francis O'Higgins, and assigned the Department of Justice to Daniel Morrissey.
