Vol. 43 No. 7

Arrangement of Business.

May I ask Senator Hartnett what is the position with regard to No. 10? I understand that the Minister cannot be here.

Perhaps I may be able to help. I am afraid I miscalculated the times. Originally, I told the Minister that the Bills would probably be finished by 6 o'clock and that we could take the motion at 7 p.m. The Minister told me that he would be available until 8.30 p.m. but that he could not come after that. For that reason, the Minister is not available.

I should like to have some indication as to when it will be possible for the House to resume discussion on my motion.

After the general election.

The expert opinion of Senator O'Higgins, who has just returned from nursing a constituency, should be useful on the matter of health services.

With regard to Bills in progress and business ordered, the Seanad will notice that the 10th March has been fixed for the Committee Stage of the Intestates' Estates Bill. I suggest that the House discharge that order and that the Bill be taken on the next sitting day.

Agreed and ordered accordingly.

The motions, when we arrive at them, will be taken on that date too.

The Seanad adjourned at 9.50 p.m. sine die.
