Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 1 Dec 1954

Vol. 44 No. 5

Message from the Dáil—Solicitors Bill, 1954.

Dáil Éireann has passed the Solicitors Bill, 1954, to which the agreement of the Seanad is desired.

I suggested to-day, at the beginning of business, that this was a Bill we might take to-night—if there is time—on the Second Stage and take the Committee Stage on the 15th—this day fortnight. This would give ample time for amendments and would allow a whole day for discussion on Committee. If the House agrees I think we might do that.

Having regard to the fact that the Bill, as has been pointed out, is a Committee Bill we are prepared to agree to that.
