Vol. 46 No. 7

Order of Business.

The House was summoned by a letter from you, Sir, saying that it was hoped to get these three Bills to-day. The texts of the Local Loans Fund (Amendment) Bill and the Sea Fisheries (Amendment) Bill are available now and I think the House would have no objection to taking them as first business in their order. With regard to the Housing (Amendment) Bill, which is being reprinted, owing to certain amendments inserted by the Dáil to-day, it is suggested that it be taken to-morrow at 10.30 a.m. If that is agreeable to the House, Sir, it can be done.

We at this side of the House are in agreement with that proposed arrangement. The difficulty about the Housing (Amendent) Bill is that we have not yet seen the amendments that are to come from the other House. Therefore, I think it is wise to postpone consideration of that Bill until to-morrow, and I think the suggested meeting at 10.30 a.m. will meet with the wishes of the Seanad.

Does that presuppose taking all stages of the Housing Bill to-morrow?

That would be the hope, Sir.

That means that the House sits to-morrow at 10.30 a.m.
