Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper.

Would it be possible to get any assurance that we could have a debate on the motion standing in my name before the Seanad rises for Christmas, owing to the extreme urgency of the matter?

At this stage, it is not possible to indicate when the Senator's motion will be reached.

I should like to impress upon the Cathaoirleach and the Seanad that it is most necessary that we should debate this matter before we rise for Christmas.

There may not be any discussion on the matter. The Chair has indicated it is not possible to indicate when the motion will be taken.

The matters to be discussed did not arise——

Perhaps the Senator would meet me later on, when we may have some information for him.
