Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1958—First Stage.

I move that leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to consolidate the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1958, and certain other enactments relating to fisheries.

The following certificate by the Attorney General was submitted:—
De bhun Buan-Ordú 91A (a bhaineann le Billí Comhdhlúite) de Bhuan-Orduithe Sheanad Éireann i dtaobh Gnótha Phoiblí deimhnímse, Aindrias Ó Caoimh, Ard-Aigne, leis seo gurb é atá sa Bhille thuasluaite Bille chun na hAchtanna Iascaigh, 1842 go 1958, agus achtacháin áirithe eile a bhaineann le hiascach, a chomhdhlúthú.

In pursuance of Standing Order 91A (which relates to Consolidation Bills) of the Standing Orders of Seanad Éireann relative to Public Business, I, Aindrias Ó Caoimh, Attorney General, hereby certify that the above-mentioned Bill is a Bill to consolidate the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1958, and certain other enactments relating to fisheries.
Dated this 2nd day of October, 1958.

Under Standing Orders, the Second Stage of a Consolidation Bill cannot be taken earlier than 28 days after its introduction. Accordingly, I move that the Second Stage be taken on Wednesday, 17th December.
