This Bill is to provide statutory authority for the 20 per cent. increase in military service pensions payable under the Military Service Pensions Acts, 1924 to 1960. The increased pensions are being paid since 1st August 1962 on foot of a Supplementary Estimate for pensions approved by Dáil Éireann on 18th July, 1962. On current expenditure, the estimated cost of the increases for a full year is £116,000.
