Vol. 60 No. 5

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take and to complete No. 1.

May I ask Senator Ó Maoláin when the Government propose to give time for No. 3?

No. 3 will have to take its place after No. 2, and as soon as we see how we are fixed after that——

But today is the 11th, and the 24th is the day for which the other is fixed.

That is right.

That means that next week is available?

That is right.

Would the Government Leader here agree to have this matter re-examined with a view to giving time next week because of its urgency?

No. I do not regard it as all that urgent and important.

I am not asking the Senator. He is only a mouthpiece. Will he ask those who sent him in here?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

That remark should not have been made.

It is too bad. I suggest he has no authority in regard to this. I am asking him to convey to the Government the urgency of this, namely, the use or the misuse of the Offences Against the State Act in present day circumstances. I suggest it is a very important subject matter. May I ask Senator Ó Maoláin now whether he will request the Taoiseach to give time for this?

The Senator will not? Then I shall have to do it some other way.
