Vol. 65 No. 21

An Bille um an gCeathrú Leasú ar an mBunreacht, 1968: Céim na Tuarascála. Fourth Amendment of the Constitution Bill, 1968: Report Stage.

Cuireadh agus d'aontaíodh an cheist: "Go nglacfar leis an mbille chun an bhreithniú deiridh a dhéanamh air."
Question: "That the Bill be received for final consideration" put and agreed to.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

The House will now proceed to discuss the Final Stage of both Constitutional Amendment Bills on the Third Amendment Bill, with separate decisions if necessary.

I wonder at this stage before we begin the speeches on the Final Stage whether there could be some agreement as to when we would finish? I think it is the view of the House that we should finish tonight.

That depends on that side.

It all depends on the Minister.

We can all limit our speeches.

Would the Minister be satisfied with an hour?

I did not hear the debate yet.

Can the Minister say whether if he gets in at 9 o'clock, he will finish at 11 o'clock.

That would seem ample.

We will do that. We will give the Minister two hours.

The proposal is that the Minister be allowed to reply at 9 o'clock?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

The House will recall that this is not the only Bill that has to be disposed of.

When does the other business come up?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

After the tea adjournment.

If the Minister got in at 9 o'clock or at 9.15, would that be sufficient?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

Perhaps the House might adjourn now and the matter might be mentioned again on resumption.

Business suspended at 6 o'clock and resumed at 7.15 p.m.
