Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 30 Jul 1970

Vol. 68 No. 17

Business of Seanad.

May I ask the indulgence of the Seanad for a moment? The Dáil have made an amendment to the Housing Bill, 1970. I should like to get agreement to take that amendment now. I suggest that after this has been done we adjourn until 7 p.m.

The Chair understands that because of the extent of the sitting of both Houses there are certain staff problems and a slightly longer adjournment would be helpful.

We have still the balance of this Bill to deal with tonight, plus the Imposition of Duties Bill and the Horse Industry Bill.

There is a certain strain on the staff because of the long sittings in both Houses.
