Vol. 83 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1 and 2. In connection with No. 1, an Earlier Signature motion will be circulated, and I propose to move that at the conclusion of No. 1. I cannot be certain about this but there is a possibility, I understand, that the IDA Bill may leave the Dáil. If it should leave the Dáil today and if there is general agreement among Senators, we might take it tomorrow, but I am not pressing it. I am merely indicating that so that Senators opposite can consider it.

We can discuss it after the tea break.

Yes, we can discuss it then.

I have received notice from Senator Mary Robinson that, on the motion for the adjournment of the House tonight, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The decision by the Minister for Local Government to permit the demolition of the Bord na Móna former headquarters at 28-32 Pembroke Street, Dublin, thereby over-ruling the refusal by Dublin Corporation to grant such permission.

I am accepting that notice and the matter will be taken from 9.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. or earlier if the business ordered is concluded.
