Is it proposed to sit tomorrow?
It is my understanding that the motion disapproving of the amendment to the rules of prisons regulations in the names of Senator Eoin Ryan and myself will be taken on Tuesday next but I would be grateful if the acting Leader of the House could confirm that this will be taken on Tuesday because that week will be the last in which this House has power to disapprove of this regulation.
My function as acting Leader of the House is spent and I am unable to give any undertaking after its expenditure.
I have been talking to the Leader of the House about this. He is unavoidably absent today because of illness but I understand from him that the motion to which Senator Robinson refers will be taken at 3 o'clock on Tuesday next and also that the Family Law (Maintenance of Spouses and Children) Bill, Committee Stage, will be taken on the same day. It is intended that the House rise at 5 o'clock this evening and sit again at 3 o'clock on Tuesday. It is intended to break for lunch from 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock.
