Vol. 86 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in that order.

I would like to ask the Leader of the House when it is proposed to take item No. 8, The Family Planning Bill, 1974.

It is my understanding that the process which the Tánaiste and Leader of the Labour Party described when he was speaking on the Second Stage of this Bill in the House—the process of consulting the other two parties—has not yet been completed. Until that time I would not like the Bill itself to be pressed. But when that process has been completed, and if it does not show a satisfactory result, then I think it would be appropriate to seek a date for further debate on this Bill.

I hope the process is completed before the election.

Order of Business agreed to.
