Vol. 100 No. 12

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take items 1, 2 and 3.

In connection with a newspaper report today about allegations of money and payments to Members to vote in a certain way on the abortion amendment issue——

It does not arise on the Order of Business.

I simply request that the matter be brought before the Committee on Procedure and Privileges to be discussed by that committee.

It is quite out of order to raise it here but we will certainly consider what the Senator has requested.

On a totally separate issue, the fact that the Minister for Justice has now seen fit to pronounce on the Nicky Kelly case, does that make it a matter of urgent public importance?

I do not think so.

Order of Business agreed to.
