Vol. 104 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 4 and 6 in that order. It is also proposed to suspend the sitting of the House from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. for tea and at 6.30 we will take the resumed motion on illegitimacy.

I have been having great difficulty getting into the House during the last two weeks. I have been besieged on both occasions by some very charming ladies and their elders holding placards. I wonder if it would be possible to draw to the attention of the House the difficulty which these young ladies are having in applying to sit for the examination which they would prefer to do, the one that they are studying for at present, namely the leaving certificate.

It is not in order, but I can see the Senator's point.

I sympathise. I, too, found it difficult to pass young girls who are anxious to sit an examination. To walk past them and not have any way of advancing their cause is rather difficult.

Order of Business agreed to.
