Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 3 Dec 1986

Vol. 115 No. 3

Business of the Seanad.

When is it proposed to sit again?

It is proposed to adjourn the House and to sit again at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow morning. At 2.30 p.m. I indicated to the House what I thought might be the programme of business between now and our adjournment on Friday, 19 December. I said at that time that the average life of such a programme was about three hours. The fact that we have not finished the Committee Stage of the Air Pollution Bill has caused me to reconsider that particular programme. In the interest of continuity of debate the best thing would be for us to take up the resumption of Committee Stage at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow morning, to continue that debate and this to be followed by the Electoral (Special Voters) Bill. The Electoral (Special Voters) Bill will be taken at 4 p.m., if not reached earlier. If both the Air Pollution Bill and the Electoral (Special Voters) Bill are completed before 7 p.m., we would endeavour to round off the debate on the report of the Joint Committee on Cooperation with Developing Development in Southern Africa.

The Seanad adjourned at 11.10 p.m. until 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, 4 December 1986.
