Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 4 Dec 1986

Vol. 115 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

When is it proposed to sit again?

It is proposed to sit again on Tuesday, 9 December at 2.30 p.m. As already indicated, we will then take up Committee Stage of this Bill and that will be followed by Second Stage of the Building Societies (Amendment) Bill which has been in hands for about a week. The other business that is liable to be ordered for Tuesday is the Report Stage of the Control of Clinical Trials Bill. I might state for the information of Members that there will probably be about ten Government amendments on Report Stage of the Control of Clinical Trials Bill. These are at present in the hands of the parliamentary draftsmen and it is hoped they will be circulated by Monday at the latest. If, in fact, they are not circulated in time to allow us to have a debate late on Tuesday, I will not be pressing Senators to take it without due notice. We would then be able to pass on to the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Bill which has been circulated and to take Second Stage of that Bill.

The Seanad adjourned at 4.50 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 December 1986.
