It is proposed to order items Nos. 1,2,3 and 4 on today's Order Paper. Item No. 1 is merely the fixing of a day for Second Stage discussion on a new Bill which is being introduced into this House; No. 2 is the Committee Stage of the Electoral (Special Voters) Bill; No. 3 is the Building Societies (Amendment) Bill; No. 4 is two small regulations in regard to agriculture.
Since it will be the same Minister and the same spokesmen who will be involved in Nos. 2 and 3, we should leave the question open as to whether we have an adjournment, the presumption being that if time does seem available we would adjourn some time around 5 p.m. or 5.30 p.m. or some other suitable time but if the business appears to be dragging — if that is not a criticism of the House — the adjournment will not be taken.
