Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 14 Jan 1987

Vol. 115 No. 12

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Michael Lynch that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today he proposes to raise the following matter: the urgent need for the Minister for the Environment to implement Stage II of the Kells-Oldcastle regional water scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Jim Higgins of the following matter: the need for the Minister for Communications to allow special permission for Blue Army Charter Pilgrims flights en route from Lisbon to fly direct from Horan International Airport to the United States without the obligation of touch down at Shannon. I suppose the Senator is thinking of Knock there? I regard both matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Lynch's motion for today's Adjournment debate and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Jim Higgins may give notice for another day.
