Vol. 115 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Jim Higgins that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications to allow special permission for Blue Army Charter Pilgrim flights en route from Lisbon to fly direct from Horan International Airport to the United States without the obligation of touch down at Shannon.

I regard the matter as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.

He is not at it again? It is the next Government who will decide that. I can tell the Senator the flights will touch down at Shannon.

There will be four weeks to deal with that outside this House and I suggest that you leave it at that.
