Seanad Éireann debate -
Monday, 7 Dec 1987

Vol. 117 No. 19

Business of Seanad.

Would Senator Lanigan give some indication to the House as to what is happening and if there is to be a break?

It is intended that we break now until 1.15 p.m. A question was asked on the Order of Business this morning regarding the Status of Children Bill. The situation regarding that item is that if this debate finishes at a reasonable hour we will take the Report Stage today. The Whips can get together at 4.30 p.m. and discuss this matter.

I want to give notice that, depending on how Committee Stage of the Extradition (Amendment) Bill develops, I and some other people may want to introduce amendments for Report Stage. Therefore, I would like to have some idea as to whether there will be a break before Report Stage.

There will be accommodation between Committee Stage and Report Stage if somebody wants to table amendments.

Sitting suspended at 12.40 p.m. and resumed at 1.15 p.m.
