Vol. 118 No. 1

Death of Former Members. - Business of Seanad.

I suggest that we adjourn until 6.45 p.m. I suggest that we then change the Order of Business, that we continue on with this Bill and that the Private Members' motion be left over to try to conclude this Bill if at all possible tonight. It may be necessary to sit a little later than usual for that purpose.

Is the Senator proposing that we leave over the Private Members' motion to some future date?

Acting Chairman

And take all Stages of the Transport Bill?

Sitting suspended at 6.05 p.m. and resumed at 6.45 p.m.

On a point of order, I was at a meeting of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges and I am not sure what agreement has been reached about the remainder of the evening's sitting. I understand that the Government Private Members' time is not being proceeded with. May I take it that the House will finish the discussion of this Bill at 8 p.m. and that the House will adjourn at that time as normal?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

The House earlier agreed to conclude all Stages of the Transport Bill and no concluding time was agreed. The Chair has only to ask for the continuation of the business.
