Thursday, 28 Jan 1988

Vol. 118 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Patrick Kennedy that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The closure of Barrington's Hospital, Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator John Connor of the following matter:

The possibility of siting the administrative headquarters of the proposed National Forestry Authority in Castlerea, County Roscommon, as part of the Government's decentralisation policy.

I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

The condition of the paintings in the possession of the National Gallery of Ireland.

I also received notice from Senator Joe Doyle of the following matter:

The urgent need for the Minister for Energy to implement in full the recommendations of the Cremer and Warner report.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Kennedy, Connor, Norris and Doyle as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Kennedy's motion and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Connor, Norris and Doyle may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
