I have notice from Senator Nuala Fennell that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Social Welfare to clarify the position in relation to the spouses dental scheme and to indicate the action he intends to take to remedy the breakdown in the scheme.
I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:
The need, especially in the light of recent tragic events, for the Minister for Justice to consider urgently the immediate opening of the facilities at Wheatfield Detention Centre.
I regard the matters raised by Senators Fennell and Norris as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matter raised by Senator Fennell and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Norris may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
