Business of Seanad.

Before I order the next day of sitting, I wish to say that, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders relative to public business in relation to the sitting of Wednesday, 10 May 1989, the time allowed for statements to be made on the resumption of sittings in the Seanad Chamber shall not in aggregate exceed 20 minutes, that each statement shall be made in the following order and the suggested duration in each case shall be: An Cathaoirleach, five minutes; Leader of the House, two minutes; Leader of the Opposition, two minutes; representative from the Independent group, two minutes; representative from the Labour group, two minutes and An Leas-Chathaoirleach, two minutes.

It is intended that we sit at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 May, 1989.

The Seanad adjourned at 8.10 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 May 1989.
