Vol. 122 No. 21

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Joe O'Toole that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The provision of a schools psychological service for primary schools and, in particular, the provision of a psychological referral service for the west county Dublin area.

I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to give a categorical assurance that in the reorganisation of the Dublin hospital situation and the eventual absorption of the Adelaide Hospital into the new hospital at Tallaght the different ethical approach embodied in that hospital's tradition will not be overwhelmed by the dominant ethos of the Catholic ethical committees.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Toole and Norris as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matter raised by Senator O'Toole and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.

An excellent decision.

Senator Norris may give notice for another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
