Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 8 Nov 1989

Vol. 123 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Donie Cassidy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

the need for the Minister for the Environment to make moneys available for a new treatment plant for Castlepollard, County Westmeath as a matter of urgency.

I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

the need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to the development of a new school in Waterford Street, Dublin 1.

I also received notice from Senator Joe Costello of the following matter:

the urgent need for the Minister for Education to clarify the position in regard to the reconstruction of the Primary Model School in the grounds of the Department of Education, Marlborough Street, Dublin, in view of the long delay in providing permanent accommodation for the school children of the parish of the Pro-Cathedral.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Cassidy, Norris and Costello as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matter raised by Senator Cassidy and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Norris and Costello may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
