Chun a fhiafraí den Aire Comhshaoil an mbeadh sé sásta leasú caoi a chur i gcrích lena chinntiú nach bhféadfaí cearta vótála a bhaint go héagórach de shaoránach cáilithe i bhfianaise a tharla i gceantar Charna i mbliana nuair a baineadh breis is 200 ainm de liosta na gClár Toghthóirí go mí-dhleathach.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to construct a second level school at Rathkeale, County Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator Cosgrave of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, in conjunction with CIE authorities, to review the security on the DART following recent incidents and to review security at the various DART stations.

I also received notice from Senator Raftery of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to take effective measures to prevent the use of illegal drugs in beef production in order to protect our beef sales.

I also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to outline the criteria used in the distribution of national lottery funds.

I also received notice from Senator Naughten of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to improve the level of hygiene in schools.

I also received notice from Senator Dan Kiely of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to provide financial assistance to the Kerry County Council as a result of strom damage to the north Kerry coast, in particular, Ballybunion Golf Club.

I also received notice from Senator Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Taoiseach as Minister with responsibility for the Arts to personally intervene to prevent further deterioration in the condition of a building listed for preservation, No. 7 Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Ó Foighil, Neville, Cosgrave, Raftery, Ross, Naughten and Dan Kiely as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Ó Foighil's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Neville, Cosgrave, Raftery, Ross, Naughten and Kiely may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.

I regret that I have to rule the matter raised by Senator Norris is not suitable for discussion on the Adjournment on the grounds of lack of ministerial responsibility.
