Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 14 Nov 1991

Vol. 130 No. 8

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitments to rebuild the old Model School in the grounds of the Department of Education in Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

I also received notice from Senator Jackman of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to notify local authorities immediately of their rate support grants to facilitate local authorities in compiling their estimates.

I also received notice from Senator Hederman of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to proceed with the cycleway around St. Stephen's Green as prepared by Dublin Corporation in 1980 and as discussed with the Office of Public Works at a meeting on 21 April 1983.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Costello, Jackman and Hederman as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Costello's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Jackman and Hederman may give notice another day of the matters they wish to raise.
