Vol. 132 No. 8

Committee of Selection: Sixth Report.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

The Committee of Selection reports that it has nominated the following Members to serve on the Joint Committee on Employment: Senators Martin Cullen, Batt O'Keeffe, Brendan Ryan and Pat Upton.

I move: "That the report be laid before the Seanad."

I welcome the announcement and the importance the Government attach to this House in having Members from this House on an all party committee.

Acting Chairman

I am sorry, Senator, this is a procedural motion.

I accept that. I just want to put on record that I am delighted this House will be involved in that committee. Unemployment is a national crisis and we have a great deal of work to do. I look forward to serving on that committee.

Question put and agreed to.
