Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 15 Jul 1992

Vol. 133 No. 19

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to ensure that the inquiry instituted into the case of the Tallaght Two, 18 months ago be completed without delay; and that the findings be made public.

I also received notice from Senator Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to intervene directly in the case of an Irish citizen (details supplied) held in a British mental hospital for the past eight years without conviction of a criminal offence, and without recourse to the courts, in order to secure his transfer to an Irish facility.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Costello and Norris as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
